Fusible Webbing

Fusible webbing is a heat activated glue used to hold pieces of fabric in place whist appliqueing onto a project. The pattern is traced in reverse onto the paper side of the webbing , cut out roughly and ironed onto the back of the fabric pieces to be used in the applique. These are then cut out accurately, the paper removed and the small pieces ironed onto the main fabric to make a picture. If using the lighter weight webbing they are then stitched in place. There is also a heavier weight webbing for non-sew projects.
